The House of Madeira was founded in the late 1920's. The business was located in the Merchandise Mart downtown Chicago and was an importer of fine fabrics direct from the Island of Madiera located off the coast of Portugal. Over time, House of Madeira has become a full service window treatment provider.

Since 1981, House of Madeira has been owned by Domnick De Maio and Family. They are known for expert design and installation services of all window fashions. Being a family owned company, they take pride in their work and maintaining long lasting business relationships with all of their clients. The sales and installation crew are up-to-date in every aspect of the design industry. There is no project too small or large, from a one bedroom addition to the Sears Tower, they can handle it.
